It has 950 Domino’s and 67 Dunkin’ Donuts, with plans to have its own factory in Greater Noida soon.
To power its way to its 1100 Domino’s and 107 Dunkin’ Donuts next year, the Ajay Kaul-led Jubliant FoodWords will be investing INR 200 crore and set up a larger production facility in Greater Noida.
In addition, it intends to add another 5,000 employees by March 2016 to staff the new stores of 150 Domino’s and 40 Dunkin’ Donuts. This will take its staff strength to 35,000.
“This factory will be the first of its kind in the world for Domino’s Pizza. This is going to be a total green facility,” said Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks.
“Unlike most other companies (competitors including food delivery startups), we are on an expansion phase. The last two years have been tough for all in the food business as customers have hung on to their wallets. Yet, Jubilant did well,” said Kaul.
He hopes to open his 1000th Domino’s store by February 2016. With 70% market share of the pizza, category, the Italian staple is still the revenue driver for Jubilant and India is the second largest market for its pizza business after the US.
