New Delhi: In a bid to simplify the procedures to procure health trade licence, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is going to launch an online system where restaurant owners would need to submit 3-4 documents and the licence would be issued within a day .
The health department issues licence to food joints, restaurant, gyms, amusement parks, hotels and clubs. After the simplification of the procedure, owners of such establishment would need to submit proof of legal occupancy of their shop, identity proof, copy of site plan and proof of water or electricity connection to get the licences.
NDMC secretary Chanchal Yadav said that the council will initiate issuing trade licences to restaurants and food joints online from November. “This is an attempt to digitise our services so that people do not face any sort of hassle while procuring licence and it will also ease off the pressure from departments,“ said Yadav .
She further said that once the licence is issued, senior officials will carry out the inspection to verify the details of the licence holder.
