SodaBottleOpenerWala’s ‘Gyarah Handi Haleem’ is the season’s offering to its patrons

Ramzan is fast approaching and the aroma of Haleem is all set to waft through the streets of the city in the coming days. And this year, the flavour of the season is going to come in 11 different varieties at SodaBottleOpenerWala, the popular eatery at Jubilee Hills known for its Parsi specialities.

Take your pick from the ‘Gyarah Handi Haleem’, 11 mouth-watering varieties — including three vegetarian options — lovingly prepared by the chefs.

“With mercury levels shooting up, it was a conscious decision to offer three vegetarian types. Usually, people tend to avoid meat during summers and the demand for vegetarian varieties is also increasing,” said Shaaz Mehmood, partner, SodaBottleOpenerWala.

This is the second year the speciality restaurant is presenting the ‘Gyarah Handi Haleem’ after a thumping success last year. The ‘Gyarah Handi Haleem’ has Persian mixed vegetable, Roasted corn, chicken, mutton, prawn, duck, turkey, special chicken haleem, special mutton haleem and many more to choose from.

The idea is to offer different types of Haleem to the patrons. While experimentation with the savoury dish is nothing new, foodies are loving the variety on offer.

“Haleem is a traditional dish revered by food lovers in the city. Now, it is available in many variants to suit the preferences of the consumers” said Shaaz Mehmood.
