India’s first virtual F&B Show ‘Food Connoisseurs India Convention’ concluded on May 04

Food Connoisseurs India Convention (FCIC), one of the most influential business-to-business F&B shows in the country was concluded successfully on May 04, 2021 virtually in presence of several industry veterans and celebrities. The brainchild of Industry Live, the convention witnessed participation from over 300 brands from the Restaurant Industry along with more than 500 delegates.

The Convention was supported by the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) – the Voice of the Indian Restaurant Industry. FCIC 2021 was presented by POSist Technologies. 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘆 GOELD Frozen Foods, and organised 𝗜𝗻-𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 Chef Designs & UrbanPiper, with BEOR 360 Craft Beer as the celebration Partner; Food Bloggers Council of India as the supporting association; Fascinating Foodie as the Digital Outreach Partner; this unique convention brought together all the stakeholders across the Food & Beverage industry on one platform to deliberate on the industry trends, areas of growth & innovation and the future course of action to revive and thrive in the post-COVID times.

The convention kick-started with a keynote address by Chief Guest Padma Shri Sanjeev Kapoor, MasterChef & Entrepreneur who highlighted the strategies of building a brand at the comfort of home. This was followed by keynote address by Anurag Katriar, President of NRAI and Founder & Managing Director of Indigo Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.

Chef Ranveer Brar, Celebrity Chef, Restaurateur, TV Show Host, MasterChef India Judge, Author & Food Film Producer; Chef Atul Kochhar, 2 Time Michelin Starred Chef, Restaurateur & Entrepreneur and Ashish Tulsian, Co-Founder & CEO, POSist Technologies also delivered keynote addresses at the conference.

Further, the day was replete with a power-packed agenda distributed into six different sessions on various topics such as ‘Restaurants of tomorrow: What’s on the menu for food business in 2021 and beyond’, ‘Recouping revenue: How restaurants owners are bringing their business back’, ‘Tech-talk: Promoting cashless dining and payment’, ‘Rise of Delivery: Getting everything Delivered at the comfort of home’, ‘Innovations in food and beverages’ and ‘Influencers Transforming the Food Industry’.

The event concluded with Food Connoisseurs India Awards. Celebrating the best in the Indian restaurant Industry, the whole fraternity came together to celebrate excellence and to raise a toast to outstanding achievements in the industry so far. A vastly experienced jury panel comprising Padma Shri MasterChef Sanjeev Kapoor; Founder and MD of Massive Restaurants, Zorawar Kalra; Chef Saby; Chef Abhijit Saha; Chef Koushik S and author and food critic Ameeta Agnihotri, judged winners across 90+ categories.
