The Chandigarh administration has rescinded its approval for the removal of Service Tax on take-away & home delivery.
Following the controversy of its August 13, ’15 letter effectively removing the Service Tax on a restaurant’s home delivery & take away business, the administration has withdrawn it.
Therefore, restaurants in the Union Territory are obliged to charge the Service Tax. Please refer to the following two letters from the Chandigarh administration for clarification.
