NEW DELHI: Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited (CPRL) now wholly owned by McDonald’s, has restarted its McDelivery will be available at select restaurants only.
CPRL will launch the web and app ordering platforms. Customers can also order their McDonald’s menu items through leading online delivery apps in the future.
“We had stopped McDelivery on May 9, 2019 due to temporary closure of our restaurants in North and East India. We have restarted the service with reopening of our outlets in N&E India now,” a McDonald’s spokesperson said.
After taking over the reins from Vikram Bakshi, McDonald’s erstwhile 50:50 joint venture partner in North and East India, McDonald’s had temporarily shut down all of CPRL’s outlets in the northern and eastern regions of the country to re-calibrate its processes.
While a sizable number of those restaurants have been reopened by the burger giant, albeit with clipped menus, company said, CPRL will continue to re-open restaurants over the coming days and weeks in North and East India as it completes the work needed to ensure customers receive the best possible experience when they visit.
