McDonald’s opens its first restaurant in Tirupati

New Delhi: Quick-service restaurant chain, McDonald’s has opened its first restaurant in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, as it continues to expand in the south Indian market, the company said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to open our first restaurant in Tirupati – a city that not only hosts close to 40,000 pilgrims every day but is also one of the fastest growing smart cities in the country. The city’s thriving tourism and dynamic demographics present a huge growth opportunity for us. We are focused on expanding our footprint here while delivering great value, variety, and convenience to our customers,” said Gerald Dias, Director of Business Operations, South, Hardcastle Restaurants.

The restaurant is on the ground floor of the BNR SV Mall, Tirupati, and is operational from 10 am to 11 pm on all days, according to the company. The new outlet is spread over 2,100 sq.ft. of space and can accommodate around 80 guests, said the company.

Hardcastle Restaurants currently operates 292 McDonald’s outlets in West and South India. This is McDonald’s 5th restaurant in Andhra Pradesh after Vijayawada, Nellore, Kakinada, and Vishakhapatnam.
