New Delhi: Indian food and hospitality group Gourmet Investments promoted London based pizza brand PizzaExpress has launched its Runway Project which is 2nd outlet and part of its Project Series in Select Citywalk, New Delhi with an investment of approximately Rs 6 crore. The Runway Project which is an outlet with food and fashion in its offerings, targets to achieve a payback of 2.5 to 3.5 years on total investment per restaurant, said a top company official.
Further, the company would open 10-15 restaurants by the next 5 years and it will end the current financial year at around Rs 55-60 crore of total sales.
“We are hoping to double this next year and to take it about Rs 400 crore within 5 years,” said Ramit Mittal, CEO, Gourmet Investments Ltd.

The first in this series of new destinations was The Bandra Project by PizzaExpress that opened in Mumbai in July last year. This was followed by The Runway Project and The Market Project at Palladium and Phoenix Marketcity, Mumbai respectively.
PizzaExpress is one of the world’s leading casual dining and consumer brand. Established in 1965 in London, it now operates over 550+ restaurant and 14 countries. The brand was launched in India in 2012 in partnership with Gourmet Investments Ltd, a company promoted by the Bharti Family Office.
