MUMBAI: Municipal commissioner Ajoy Mehta has directed all restaurants, bars and hotels in the city to conduct self-audit of fire safety measures in their establishments at the earliest.

At a meeting with representatives of hotels and restaurants’ associations on Monday, Mehta also suggested that the associations should not give or continue memberships of establishments not having proper fire safety measures.
