It was an insightful and interesting session wherein the following was discussed:

In order to sustain your business, getting your customers to directly order from your restaurant is the need of the hour. Take control in your own hands and not depend on online aggregators entirely. This will help in smooth functioning of your restaurants and provide your staff with their timely salaries.

2. How to enable direct ordering?

Nothing beats the traditional way of ordering i.e., taking calls on your restaurant phone number.

However, users are now accustomed to “click and order” with convenience of digital payments and saved addresses, and hence enabling a digital ordering partner is important.

Discovery (new customer acquisitions) is also a challenge but can be done with the help of platforms like Google, Facebook and Instagram, you can post a direct link where customers can order directly from your restaurant.

Of course, there are other challenges like fulfilment of the order and customer feedback which too need to be taken care of with your limited resources, and for that too there are some solutions.
