Managing Partner, Barley & Grapes Concepts

My professional career stated from IT background in  2001, having worked for nearly 5 years as a Software Analyst for Motorola. Over time around 2008  I got more and more fascinated in my husband Sridhar Vakada’s restaurants business    (100ft Boutique restaurant/ Bayleaf & Friends & Bacchus ) and its inside workings, operations of a restaurant and F&B industry . Out of interest, I started first getting involved in restaurant operations from training / Hr and Pr perspective. Over time I honed my skills and got more involved in the end to end workings of a restaurant . In 2013, when we opened Barley and Grapes cafe , a casual dining open euro style cafe where I became the managing partner . My key focus and interest has always been in human behavior and it’s impact on work space both from the team’s perspective as well as guest perspective. “Personal growth of team members IS growth of the company”  is a belief I hold firmly. Since then, we have expanded further and have 8 outlets currently. Apart from Barley & Grapes cafe , we  also have Andhra Kafe and Blyton in Bangalore.
