Karan Tanna

Founder CEO, Ghost Kitchens India

Karan Tanna, Founder CEO of Ghost Kitchens India hails from Automobile Engineering background having worked as a Research Analyst with Mckinsey & General Motors. However, he was always passionate about F&B industry & started his journey with ‘Kutchi King’ & played a key role to expand its business to 200 outlets!

Karan believed that F&B scalability through franchising in India was in its infancy as the country is yet to have a single sustainable local brand. This, to him, was an opportunity to change the scenario. Harnessing his understanding & experience of F&B franchise market he founded Yellow Tie Hospitality in Dec 2015.

As part of Yellow Tie Hospitality, Karan also launched Incubation Program to support young F&B Retail start-ups that wanted to grow & took over 2 locally grown high potential brands to help scale through franchising. Today, the company boasts of a portfolio of 12 brands with 70 restaurants & presence in 20 cities.

Karan has launched 2 cloud kitchen companies by the name Eathos Group & QSR Brands India and started 50+ point of sales between 5 brands as on May 2019.

Over the past 10 years, Karan has been known for his acumen & expertise in brand conceptualisation, brand positioning, menu engineering, scalable menus & training programs, scalable food logistics & economics, training, SOPs, scalable network marketing & management.

He has also been featured in Forbes 30 under 30 list, Entrepreneur 35 under 35 as well as awarded Most Talented Food Industry Leaders by Asia Food Congress & Most Admired CEO of the year by ET Now Stars of the Industry Awards.

An avid traveller & foodie by heart, Karan loves to explore different cuisine during his travels and dots Bollywood movies.
