Colombian-Origin Coffee Brand Libertario Opens Gurugram Flagship with Its First In-House Roastery in India

Colombian specialty coffee company Libertario Coffee Co. & Roasters has opened its new flagship outlet at DLF Summit Plaza, Golf Course Road, Gurugram. The outlet opened to the public on 3 November 2026 and marks the brand’s second location in India, following its debut in Greater Kailash 2, New Delhi, in July 2025.

The expansion represents an important step in Libertario’s strategy to strengthen its presence in India’s premium specialty coffee market.

Introducing India’s First In-House Roastery

The Gurugram flagship introduces Libertario’s first in-house coffee roastery in India. The facility allows customers to engage more closely with the coffee roasting process and understand the craftsmanship behind specialty coffee.

The outlet also features a coffee omakase experience, offering curated tastings of rare coffees, distinctive varietals and different brewing techniques. This format brings coffee roasting, tasting, education and hospitality together under one roof, extending the brand’s offering beyond the conventional café experience.

A Colombian Coffee Legacy

Founded in Colombia in 2015, Libertario operates across coffee cultivation, sourcing, exports and hospitality. The company traces its roots to its family-owned coffee estate, La Palma y El Tucán, and exports coffee to 32 countries.

Its integrated coffee business provides access to different coffee-growing regions, processing techniques and international markets, which the company is bringing together through its Indian retail operations.

A Focus on Coffee Discovery and Hospitality

The Gurugram flagship combines specialty coffee with an expanded food and beverage programme. The outlet aims to provide customers with an experience centred on coffee exploration, preparation and hospitality.

The coffee omakase format introduces customers to the characteristics of different beans, origins and brewing methods, positioning the outlet as a destination for specialty coffee discovery.

Expanding Across India

The opening follows Libertario’s successful entry into the Indian market with its Greater Kailash 2 outlet in New Delhi.

The company plans to strengthen its presence across the National Capital Region and is also exploring expansion opportunities in cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad over the coming months.

Speaking about the launch, Miguel Villaquiran, Co-founder and India CEO of Libertario, highlighted India’s importance to the company and its commitment to product quality, originality and customer experience.

With its Gurugram flagship, Libertario is bringing its international coffee expertise to India while contributing to the growing demand for premium, experience-led café formats.
