NRAI Townhall 11.0 – Creating Newer Delivery Solutions, held on 6th February, was successfully conducted by the National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) in collaboration with Rapido, marking a significant step towards reshaping India’s food delivery ecosystem.
The Townhall introduced Ownly by Rapido, a zero-commission, flat-fee food delivery model co-developed by NRAI leadership and Rapido over the past year. The session detailed the journey of Ownly—from its successful pilot across three Bengaluru pin codes to its planned full-scale city launch, followed by a pan-India rollout.
Designed to address long-standing challenges faced by restaurants, Ownly enables 100% order value retention, zero platform fees, and no forced discounting, with deliveries powered by Rapido’s reliable rider network. The model prioritises food quality, ratings, and customer trust over discount-driven visibility, offering a sustainable and restaurant-first alternative to conventional delivery platforms.
The online Townhall witnessed strong engagement from the restaurant community, garnering 400+ views on YouTube, with participants actively engaging to understand the operational framework, onboarding process, and long-term impact of the initiative.
NRAI Townhall 11.0 reinforced the association’s commitment to building collaborative, industry-led solutions and encouraged Bengaluru’s restaurant community to onboard and collectively support Ownly—laying the foundation for a scalable, equitable, and sustainable food delivery model for restaurants across India.
