Circular: Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC)

The association has been representing with the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and Delhi Government for bringing about changes in the Effluent Treatment System, Effluent Standards & other requirements for Restaurants and Eating Houses.

This is to inform members in Delhi that DPCC has changed the above requirements as decided vide its Board Meeting held on 22-03-2016. Click here to read the standards / requirements.

Members may note that Restaurants up to 100 seat covers connected with Municipal/ Delhi Jal Board Sewer system connected to DJB STPs, are now exempted from providing Effluent Treatment Plants (against the earlier 36 seat covers).

However, the General Standards of discharge of effluent into Public Sewers, as mentioned in the attached standards are to be ensured.  If required to meet the prescribed effluent standards, an Effluent Treatment Plant will need to be installed and due process for the same followed.
