From residential societies setting up community kitchens to restaurants – big and small – opening their kitchens to whip up meals and serve the underprivileged, many have come forward to help those in need during this corona crisis. After the lockdown was announced, several residential societies across NCR decided to help those in need by providing them with meals.
Meanwhile, the NRAI (National Restaurants Association of India) has collaborated with the authorities across the country to provide meals to the disadvantaged. In NCR, restaurants have set up these kitchens at Yum Yum Cha, Buddy’s Kitchen (IGI Airport), Farzi Cafe, Made in Punjab, Barbeque Nation and other venues.
While most of the initiatives are focused on providing meals to the underprivileged, but some establishments are also providing meals to the medical staff across cities.
