The new Nehru Place outlet offers great food and matching ambience

Social, popular among party goers and food lovers has launched  its 11th outlet in the country. Located at Epicuria, at Nehru Place Metro Station, the interiors of this place has been designed keeping in mind the location.

Entering through the narrow passageway, one can see walls covered with pamphlets and leaflets depicting the Nehru Place market with signage Nehru Place Metro Station reminding one of the location.

The place has a stadium set-up with stairs where people can sit and relax. Besides there are swinging chairs to sit and enjoy food and drinks. “The stadium theme is inspired by how college kids sit on the stairs and socialise. We always try to bring in the local element in our outlets that’s why you can see old CPU boxes and CRT monitors hanging on the wall to give it a feel of Nehru Place,” says Riyaz Amlani, MD and CEO of Impresario, the group managing Social.

The place also has a working area and a conference room for those wanting to work in a relaxed ,environment.

The menu of Social is diverse. The service starts from breakfast to catch early birds. There are biryanis and burgers waiting for your attention, and the variety of street food from Mumbai and Delhi is appetising. ‘We have customers coming in from different demographics and have to cater to everyone’s palate that’s why we have such a diverse menu,” explains Chef Shamsul.

He says that the menu is a work in progress as it keeps on changing. “Street food is also our speciality. We are serving gourmet street food and making it available for everyone. Here you can sit and enjoy your street food with a drink, without any restrictions,” he says.

The names of drinks and dishes at Social are quirky. While the shots are named – Hajmola Shot or Kachcha Aam Shot, one dessert is called Ramesh Suresh. “We wanted the names to sound familiar to everyone and make them nostalgic about their childhood,” explains Sid Mathur, the director of Social.
