Satish Kaushik brings alive his iconic character with new restaurant ‘Calendar’s Kitchen’

on

Various celebrities are foraying into the restaurant business, and the latest entrant is well-known actor and producer-director Satish Kaushik, who has joined hands with Delhi-based young entrepreneur Shray Jain to re-live his iconic character Calendar via ‘Calendar’s Kitchen’ at Rajouri Garden in New Delhi.

This is not the first time Satish Kaushik has started a restaurant, he has been associated with another restaurant previously in central Delhi. Being a Delhiite himself, he has a close connection with Delhi and knows about the area of West Delhi, where Rajouri Garden is emerging as a new food hub and new concepts are being started on a regular basis.

Keeping in mind his passion for doing something new and creative, I have joined hands with this youngster Shray, who has done a fabulous job with this property, says Satish Kaushik, who was in town recently for the opening of ‘Calendar’s Kitchen’.

He mentioned, that “Calendar” was an Iconic & a distinct character of its own and I could not do separate it by myself. It was always in mind to do something with ‘Calendar’ and make it a Brand when Shray met me and shared the concept of a restaurant, it clicked in my mind and we initiated the process. Being a Delhiite and particularly from Karol Bagh, I have known the areas of Janakpuri, Karol Bagh, Rajouri Garden etc. as foodies paradise thus, you can see the area of Rajouri Garden is becoming the new food hub. Delhi is very fond of eating and I have received a great response to the Character, so keeping in mind their love for me and food, we are here to bring in the memories of Calendar in form of ‘Calendar’s Kitchen’ as a gift. One of the USP’s of our restaurant is that the waiters here won’t be known as waiters but Calendar’s and been trained to serve with a smile. Foodies can have a vast variety of food from Chinese to Thai in a great ambiance and a comfort zone to provide them with a feel good factor, he added.

On a question of opening a restaurant in the times of Demonetization, he said, we had a plan of this restaurant well before this recent announcement, so we were on it for a long time. Although we all are facing several issues due to this but it will have a great impact in a longer run. Maybe we won’t get a greatest of the starts in demonetization time, but with time, everything will get sorted and we have the smooth running. I’m in support of the scheme as it will have a comprehensive & strategic influence in near future and being an Indian we all should support the worthwhile initiative of the Govt. of India.

Kaushik applauded the efforts of Shray Jain to bring alive the Calendar’s magic to Delhiites and wishes him a great success. Shray Jain was very happy with the things, he said, we all know the charming and jolly human in Satish ji, it’s my privilege & honor to have him as a Lucky Mascot in Calendar. We will try our best to provide the greatest of experience to all his fan & foodies all over.
