Paris’ famed L’Arpège puts Grover Zampa on its menu

The famed restaurant selected the Art Collection Sauvignon Blanc and La Reserve Red.

One of the world’s most famous restaurants, L’Arpège in Paris has selected two signature wines from the Grover Zampa Vineyards to join its menu. This would be the first time an Indian wine has made it to the tables of a three Michelin star restaurant.

The two wines, Grover Zampa’s Art Collection Sauvignon Blanc and La Reserve Red that won medals at the Decanter Asia Wine Awards and the Hong Kong International Wine Competition 2014, are the latest additions to the restaurant’s menu and will be served by the glass.

The prestigious L’Arpège was voted the 12th best restaurant in the world in The San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2015. Having earned its third Michelin star in 1996, and maintaining it since then, the restaurant has stuck to its core strengths – of dishing out traditional French cuisine. Owned by Chef Alain Passard, one of the biggest names in the global gastronomy scene, the restaurant has served as a major centre for learning for some of France’s most respected chefs.

“It pleases me to announce Grover’s association with L’Arpège, one of France’s most revered restaurants! To be served in a 3 Michelin star restaurant is an honour in itself, and we are eager to expand our reach in international markets. In the future, we are hoping to add some more of our wines to the menu, especially the Vijay Amritraj collection and La Reserve Blanc,” said Kapil Grover, Chairman, Grover Zampa Vineyards.

Grover owns vineyards in both the Nandi Hills in Karnataka and in the Nashik Valley in Maharashtra.  It produces wine under eight brands.
